OYO Capital O – My stay and experience.

OYO, one of India’s leading hospitality companies has been known to provide hotel rooms at budget prices. Capital O is their newest feature and I was recently invited to experience this new feature through a stay at one of their Capital O properties.

The Key features of Capital O are –

• Prime locations for convenience
• Spacious rooms for extra comfort
• Hi-speed internet
• Premium brand toiletries
• 24×7 F&B services
• Buffet-style breakfast spreads

The Hotel I was staying at is called Hotel Radiant and is known by its code on the OYO app as Capital O 16172.

Reception

Located right next to the Park circus 7 point crossing, the biggest advantage of the hotel is the fact that it is in the heart of the city with prime connectivity to all major areas so it makes it ideal for someone who needs to travel within the city yet save up on traffic time.

While the booking was done by OYO, I already had the app installed on my phone and that really helped me stay updated with the status of my booking with timely alerts. On the day of my check-in I got an early morning reminder on the app about my impending stay. The hotel was easy to find via Google Maps. Upon arrival, I was asked to provide my identity proof and the check-in was quite smooth and quick.

My room which was quite spacious included a double bed, writing desk, double door wardrobe and a TV. There were some welcome snacks as well which was nice. The bathroom was very clean and spacious as well which is a priority for me.  I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the toiletries were from a premium brand like Kama Ayurveda which is a brand I personally use at home.  Essentials such as clean Towels, Dental Kit, Shaving Kit, Shower cap, Comb and Slippers were provided in the room.

The hotel has a terrace with a wall garden, lounge area and a fully functional gym and complimentary parking for its guests. The restaurant on the ground floor serves Indian and Chinese food along with a complimentary buffet breakfast every morning.

During my stay, I dined in at the restaurant where the servers were helpful in guiding me through my orders. Among the food I ate were dishes like Chicken Pakora, Chicken Bharta, Lacchha Paratha, Chinese Chopsuey and Chilli Chicken. The food was good, well made and served fast.

In the evening, I decided to go to Quest Mall for some end of season sale shopping and it was very easy for me to go because this place is at a 3 minute walking distance from the mall.

The free wifi in my room was seamlessly fast and I spent a good chunk of my stay working so my stay was rather productive.

The next morning I was given a reminder call by room service about the buffet breakfast which was being served till 10.30 am. The room I stayed in would cost about INR 2800 all inclusive.
